Satmar Willamsburg
In 2017 I walked across the Brooklyn bridge and north into Williamsburg, entering another world. Men and women were all dressed in black, some men sporting hipster beards and cool hats, while other guys wore hats resembling huge chocolate cakes. Women's dress code reminded me of my childhood in the 50's, and young boys looked like they were errand boys from Gringotts bank. Unknowingly I had entered the Williamsburg Hasidic Community.
